Location: Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park, just outside of Canmore
As bears start to come out of their dens, Alberta Environment & Parks and Bow Valley WildSmart will host Bear Day.
The family-friendly event is an opportunity to learn more about the area's grizzly bears and serves as a reminder to once again be bear aware.
There will be indoor and outdoor activities, including bear spray demonstrations, bear talks, and a bear trapping demonstration.
In addition, there will be a presentation from the Stoney Nakoda First Nation on grizzly bear conservation in Kananaskis.
Bear Day runs from 9:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

- 10 am: Bear spray demonstration

- 11 am: Bear spray demonstration
- Noon: MLA Cam Westhead - Bear Day Official welcome
