TALK: People in Canmore's wildlife corridors

Location: artsPlace, 950 8th Avenue in Canmore.

Join John Paczkowski, an ecologist with Alberta Environment and Parks, as he explores some of the wildlife and human use data collected in wildlife corridors and habitat patches around Canmore.

In addition to historical data, he will present interim results from the Human Use Management Review monitoring program. More than 1.5 million images, which were collected from more than 100 wildlife camera sites, show that people represent 94 per cent of the recorded sightings in wildlife corridors and habitat patches.

The monitoring program is a partnership with Alberta Parks, the town and Friends of Kananaskis Country.

Presented by Friends of Kananaskis Country.

Event is free.
