The Iiniskim Powwow Committee presents a cross-cultural gathering of Indigenous nations and the Banff community.
It will feature drumming, singing, regalia, dancing and cultural education.
Everyone is welcome to participate or observe.
The powwow is not only a sports competition, but it also honours and shares knowledge of the ceremonial traditions.
The second annual Iiniksim Powwow will pay tribute to Norman Luxton, who was known as Mr. Banff, was an honourary chief and formed deep friendships with Indigenous people.
An Indigenous art market will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m.
The grand entries and competition begins at noon and 6 p.m. and finishes at 10 p.m.
