Join Bill Weber, co-author of In the Kingdom of Gorillas, as he talks about mountain gorilla tourism in Rwanda when it looked like that species was doomed to extinction.

It's now the No. 1 source of foreign exchange and the population has rebounded.

When he returned to North America, Weber brought lessons from Africa on the importance of connectivity and local community involvement to bear on the conservation of iconic wild animals such as grizzly bears.
