Canmore-based filmmaker Leanne Allison has launched an interactive, animated companion piece to her 2017 film Living With Wildlife. With support from the Calgary Foundation, this new website, livingwtwildlife.ca, is mobile friendly and breaks down the key points from the Living With Wildlife film in such a way that they can be easily digested in a quick, interactive format.

With illustrations by Bow Valley-based artist Jason Thompson and text by local writer Fraser Los, Allison says she hopes the project will “help reinforce our own story of human-wildlife coexistence in the Bow Valley […] The challenge is that we have an endless need to educate new staff, visitors and new residents. The Living with Wildlife film and website are great tools that are being used by groups like WildSmart, the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, and the municipalities of Canmore and Banff to help fill that need.”
